Best fishing guide on Bayou Dularge! On every trip with Captain Travis Lovell he has never failed to put us on lots of fish. I have used Captain Travis for both business trips with customers and father/son outings. In both cases, he was a true professional. A small example is the time that I wanted to surprise my two boys (ages 10 & 13) with new rods and reels. My wife and I had the opportunity to fish with Capt. Travis Lovell this past summer. With my wife originally being from Louisiana, she really wanted us to go catch some redfish while in town visiting her family. After a high recommendation from a fellow LSU grad, we contacted Captain Travis Lovell. He was very knowledgeable, answered all our questions, and really got us excited about coming down to Bayou Dularge for the day. We were really on the fence about bringing our 9 year old daughter, but Captain Travis strongly encouraged us to bring her along as he expressed how great the fishing had been days prior. He suggested we drive in from Lafayette the night before, recommended a hotel, and even gave us great advice of where to dine while staying in Houma for the night. We had a beautiful morning on the water! It was easy to find his boat lift and once arriving we were quickly underway. Targeting redfish, Capt. Travis told us we would be using blue crab for bait. My daughter loved when we pulled aside a working crab boat to load up with bait. We had an absolute blast catching reds with him! In addition to the great fishing, we saw lots of wildlife and thoroughly enjoyed Captain Travis' knowledge about the waters he has fished his entire life. Back at the dock, he quickly cleaned and iced down all of our fish for us. My daughter and I loved seeing the entire process and even had the chance to feed a few scraps to an alligator hanging near the lift. We could tell the entire day that Captain Travis loves fishing and wants everyone to catch as many as possible. He was energetic, professional, and fun to spend the day with. My daughter said it was the best day of the entire summer. I have fished all over the US and this was the best trip I have ever been on. We will definitely go back out with Captain Travis of Reelin Good Charters when we visit Louisiana in the near future.

I have had the opportunity to fish with guides all over North America. I have seen just about everything that can go wrong and go right. Capt. For a young aged guide, he has a vast knowledge of the Dularge area as well as the fishing patterns it takes to come back with fish.
